Developmentally, most 4th graders are very much still children they enjoy and learn from play and thrive in nurturing and warm environments. 4th graders enhance their learning and skills in preparation for switching classes every period next year. I started teaching fourth grade at Lasalle in 2018, and I'm excited to continue to be a part of the LaSalle community and the fourth grade team.įourth graders are now members of the “upper” grades of elementary school, this is the students’ last year in a contained classroom. I have two dogs, Lincoln and Daisy, who love long walks around the neighborhood. I taught third grade and fourth grade for twelve years at Ravinia Elementary in Highland Park, IL before I took some time off to stay home with my daughters, Ava and Ruth.

I received my Bachelor of Arts from Trinity College and my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from National Louis University. Led by full-time teachers and one instructional aide dedicated to both 4th grade classrooms, our 4th graders hone their reading and writing competencies, work.
